Way to go , nice birds.Would they be lesser canadians ; they seem smaller then the larger canadians. It's been awhile since I have dropped the hammer on geese.Maybe next year , my hunting buddy just moved to So. Oregon near the Sprague river , which has some great shooting .Scott Shaw

Scott-

Yes the canadians are a little on the small side but still goooooooodddd eatin thats for sure. There are some bigguns still out there and the season is still young. It has jsut been a crazy season so far. With all the warm weather in the beginning od December none of the birds made the trip down. We would go out and see a few birds here and a few birds there. After these rains began a couple of weeks ago they started to come down and now it is on. I just cant believe how many birds are out there this year. It is turning into a great year with all this rain. It is cool to be able to do something when it is pissin rain and cant go out and fish :-)...

A killer recipe for geese breasts: BONELESS GEESE WINGS
Cut them up into big fajita type strips, marinate them in Franks Red Hot sauce overnight(the longer the better), then stick em on the barb basting em with the leftover sauce. I have eaten geese just about every way on earth and this is BY FAR the best way I know to cook em. If you like Buffalo Wings these are the ticket. Try it and let me know whatcha think...

No insult to the Z-Man about those birds, they are fine. The deal is , is that there are different types of Canadian geese. The lessers are the smaller of the two.Actually , I think those are what we see more of in Cal, that and all those snow geese.Keep at it ,Scott Shaw
