watch those curados ive got 2 the smaller of them is the cu-100b and i has a sideplate that is broken in half from who knows what i went to go fishing picked up the rod to cast it and damn wouldnt reel the sideplate broken in half on the handle side and i still have to take it to sav-on tackle to get it fixed.they have good customer service so no problems there but if your looking for a more durable reel id look at something with some aluminum sideplates or at least something with some stronger plastic

ps i have another one the larger model the # im not sure on but i like that one casts nice & easy takedown but it doesnt compare to my international 955 and im testing out an ambassador eon and so far that one is ok too

for the rod check out the shimano compre's there are pretty nice graphite rods for about $69-99 they have a bunch of differant actions and sizes ive got 3 of them in multiple actions and they fell nice while fishing them and on fish and you cant beat the fuji components they use!
