ive never tried this but i will be at kern for memorial day weekend. what are some good ways to catch smallmouth and large mouth out of the lower kern? and can you use minnows there?

Im interested in finding out what sort of structure the fish hold in, the baits and lures that are popular and effective to use and how to present them in moving water.
