My experience has been that the high tides can be good fishing sometimes but sometimes not at all. The supposed better days close to a full moon has not proved very reliable to me I have not had good days that were rated high due to a full moon and good days when the moon was small and the day was rated low. My advice would be do not let any of that lunar, weather or wind stuff keep you off the lake. I have had good days in the wind and rain. I think the wind can be helpful. it creates current, concentrates baitfish and helps conceal you and the boat. Just go fish their is no substitute for time on the water. Try to find the pattern and give the fish what they want. I am not much of a finesse fisherman not that I can't do it, I will give up quantity for quality, sometimes I wont get bit for a few days. Sometimes I have great days, I just love swimbaits and quality fish. If you want to be real consistent or fish tournaments focus on the finesse stuff and master the jig.
Peace Rich
