The NorCross is a good unit, but personally prefer the Hummingbird smart cast unit. You can get the base station model or go for the small but effective wrist watch display also. The have a wireless transducer you cast out to your target area and it sends a signal back to the dispaly. Has a range of 100 feet, reads to 150' depth and you can adjust depth, sensitivity, and even has fish alarm and fish ID. The sound and look cheesy, but after using one I was thoroughly pleased with it's performance. They run about 180 for the large base station unit to about 120 for the watch style receiver.
