Well, I never expected this to happen. Recently my son, Cody Pierce, and I were guests of well known fishing TV personality Babe Winkelman on an Alaskan angling adventure. The trip was filmed for Babe's TV show "Good Fishing." We want to invite you all to tune in and check out the action. Cody managed to break his hand :(, in two places (he's healed now), just 2 days before we left for the trip. He refused to let that affect him though.

This first airing of this episode is scheduled from now through the first week of February, depending on where in the world you receive it. I can't be much more specific than that since we are scattered everywhere. It will repeat in the first week of May and later this year on the Outdoor Channel. For those wanting to watch the fishing action in Alaska you can find your local listing for Babe Winkelman's Good Fishing by running a search at www.tvguide.com/ or www.winkelman.com or looking in your local TV Guide.

Babe told the world to tune in, as he closed out this weeks episode of Good Fishing, to see Cody break a world record on his show next week! :) You can see a still photo of that catch in a few seconds though. We entered the photo in a contest and you can check out the 36 best picures of the year sent in worldwide. We hope you vote for Cody's catch though.

Cody's catch/photo qualified for the contest in the month of June 2001 with another IGFA Junior World Record catch! It is a yelloweye rockfish, often mistakenly called a red snapper. It looks like a giant largemouth bass goldfish.

If you choose to vote, the E-mail you send is actually coded in the subject line. The first 2 digits are for the month and the last digit is for the position for the month he qualified. I don't think you have to do anything but click on send to vote once the Email message pops up. ("06" is for June, the sixth month, and "C" is for the third position of qualifiers in June.) After the pop-up appears simply click send.
