I looking into buying a hard swimbait and would like to ask a ? Which one would be the best buy? I have never fished one before and I don't want to spend $250.00 for a armageddon or anything that pricey something in the $50.00 range would be o.k theres the ac-plug the slammers and others. I guess what i'm looking for is a all around lure.Any suggestions? Thanks Guys

Well I took your advise and ordered a 9" slammer in dark trout. I saw they have some type of snap swivel on the nose are these recommended?Or can you tie directly to it. Thanks

You want to tie to the snap(a very strong, high-quality snap) that comes with it. With the lure clipped to the snap, the lure's 'natural' action is produced when working the lure in. If you tie directly to the lure's 'eye', it's action will be dampened.

I'm going to use the slammer for topwater ay night on canyon or Sag.Sounds like I'm leaveing the snap swivel on. O.K I got that straight do you think I should use a snap on a bait like the castaic soft body trout? The one I have does not seem to have that much action.I read that the more you throw them the softer they get is this true? I'd like to thank you guys for all the info you've givin out.
