Coral Sea 3/4 Day trip

Good afternoon anglers. We got off the dock this morning with 26 anglers and with a beautiful weather forecast we headed across to Santa Rosa island for our days fishing.

We started off looking for lingcod and had decent success however we quickly encountered a few mammals that despite the depth shut us down and we had to move. We made a couple mile run to a different zone entirely and found some more decent action on the toothy critters on our first couple stops. To try to get some diversity in the bags we went looking and after some looking in various depths found some rockfish as well as a nice sampling of jumbo whitefish to go along with it.

Our 26 anglers ended the day with an excellent catch consisting of 178 Assorted rockfish, 3 Sheepshead, 76 Ocean Whitefish and 52 lingcod.

The Coral Sea is full for tomorrow and chartered Tuesday with spots available on there 3/4 Day trip Wednesday. The Stardust is 1/2 Day fishing Monday - Wednesday and 3/4 Day fishing Tuesday. Please call Sea landing at 805 963-3564 for a reservation or visit our website to book online. Nice weather forecasted for making it to the islands, hope to see you on the boats.

Stardust 3/4 day Charter

We had an amazing wether forecast today it was absolutely beautiful and calm all day at the islands. We fished deeper water at Santa Rosa first thing this morning targeting lingcod. Our first zone produced around 20 fish for a few stops. There are some larger grade female fish mixed in but we caught lingcod of all sizes.

We got into one area mid morning that gave us a nice taste of rockfish of all species and colors. The fishing was pretty steady on doubles and singles for a good hour.

We then decided to head in shallower to look for more lingcod where we did find some fish willing to bite. The best bait today by far was the live sardine on the dropper loop. We fished inside for a while and topped off our lingcod before calling it a day with some great quality bags for everybody.

For our 22 anglers that we're fishing today we caught 172 rockfish and 44 lingcod. The stardust is 1/2 day fishing tomorrow and Wednesday with lots of space available. We are 3/4 day TUESDAY. Book spots now for upcoming trips on our website or call the Sea landing at 805-963-3564.
