what do you guys think about raffles? have one every meeting?
every other meeting or what, i think we made $237 last meeting, so if we have an average of $175 each meeting that will be almost $2000 extra bucks at teh end of the year not counting the Invite raffle. so I think every meeting would work if we can get stuff together for it.

what does everyone else think?

PS its better than selling candy :+

I dont see why it would be a problem Deacon. unless some other guys dont show up, then you would have to draw, we have let other family members fish together before. just show up in the morning your guaranteed to fish!

I wouldn't have suggested the candy thing if I'd known you had a stash of stuff to raffle off. The only thing I knew we had to raffle off was the large bagges of Berekley plastic baits and I know we really couldn't just raffle that stuff off. When I asked for volunteers to help out with the donations, Todd was the only one who offered to help. It's great to see people getting involved now, like Rich, Jeff, you, Todd, and now Dave Kaffke's support as well. I don't see why we shouldn't have one every other month. Every month might be a bite of a stain on us to have enought stuff to raffle off every month and except everyone to always have money to buy tickets. What's your thought? I don't see much of a response yet, but I'll be sure to bring it up at the next meeting. Do you have stuff to raffle off at the next meeting? Keep me up to date.

Thanks
Wiilliam - SCBBBC

yo kevin, when it comes to getting contributions from our sponsors, who is in charge of that? Should all members be trying to get us hooked up or should we leave it to certain people. I know some guys at a tackle shop in San Jose that might want to kick down for us. Also I'm down to contribute some goods.

Hey David,

you can bring any donations to the meeting, or if you have a contact name, forward it to me and either Todd or me will make contact with them. Or if people in the club want to donate they're own stuff, just bring it to the meetings or email or call me and I'll be glad to pick it up from you. I'd prefer the stuff still packaged though.

Thanks,
William-SCBBBC

Hey Guys,

Dave Brown here I've been trying to keep track of all the sponosrs contacted, Todd has been emailing me everytime he's contacted someone and if someone else has contacted a sponsor, I'm writing them down so I don't call them again. I have over 8 letters sent and only 2 replies so far, and I'm still trying for the walmart hook up, that should be swwweeettt. Email me if I need to write a sponsor in my book gamboochie@tbousa.com. What I would like to have is Company Name, Address, phone and maybe fax number, email address, who was contacted, and how i.e. sent a letter, email, phone call, etc. Thanks for the help everyone.

Dave B
