Bass-N-Tubes is holding its second Open event of the year at Clear Lake May 19th and 20th. We will be doing 2 separate launch locations. Each location will have its own scale and 2 BNT Staff members to perform the weigh in. Location #1 is M&M Campground in the Clear Lake Keys. M&M is also where the raffle, awards, and draw will take place. Location #2 is the Island Drive launch ramp which is located just off highway 20 on Island drive in Clearlake Oaks.

We will split the anglers in half so group 1 will launch at location #1 on day one and switch to location #2 for day two and group 2 will fish location #2 day one and switch to location #1 day two.


It is important since the weigh-ins will be so close to each other that you weigh in at the same location you launched from, if you show up at the wrong weigh-in location you will be asked to go to your launch location for weigh in which could result in a late penalty or DQ for that day.

If I'm not mistaken, isn't the Island Drive launch less than 1/2 mile from M&M? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of trying to separate such a big field of would be anglers? So I could feasibly fish the same spots for the whole tourney than right? It's almost the same concept as having a flighted launch. If I get Island drive as a launch, I could then drive back to M&M and launch to hits the keys again?
What happened to Red Bud or somewhere else for that matter?

In theory yes you could drive back to location 1 or 2 and launch. Since you cant start driving until the "go fish" signal is called, when you arrive at the drive to spot everyone would already be fishing and more then likely all over the area you want to fish. Alos remember if you driving to another spot you must have your KB with you not sitting at your drive to spot waiting for you.

I know Paul and Mitch have been working hard to come up with a fair plan for everyone. I believe it came down to 2 choices this one or everyone launch and fish out of M&M with flights. At least this plan will allow everyone to scatter out a bit more.
