#35437, "2007 Delta region announcments"

The 2007 is approaching and the Delta Region will be ready }(

I need to let everyone know that Chris Zelenka has decided to step down as my assistant TD for the delta region to free up some time to pursue other fishing adventures in 07. Chris will continue to fish DR events so y'all can't relax just yet :P I want to thank Chris for his dedication and effort over the last few years as my right hand man. The DR is what it is today because of guys like Chris who put in the time behind the scenes to make things work smoothly.

Taking Chris's place as the DR assistant TD will be Dave Monteiro. Dave and I started fishing BnT events together back in 2001 at the 1st annual Clear Lake US Pro kickboat Open. I know Dave will fill Chris's shoes as the assistant TD very well. Please welcome Dave on board as the newest BnT staff member.

Next years schedule should be a fun one. We will be fishing a brand new area for our first tourney of the year as well as visiting a few old favorites. I know I'm already looking forward to August.

Here is the 2007 Delta Region schedule.

Month Day, Location, Notes
FEB 11, Whiskey Slough
MAR 18, Whites Slough (Guard Rd.)
APR 22, Middle River (Barrier)
JUN 24, Mildred Island
JUL 21-22, Beacon Harbor, Delta Pro Kickboat Open
AUG 25, Beacon Harbor, Saturday Evening Sundowner
SEP 9, Old River (TWA), **Need to confirm with TWA

Hope to see everybody on the water in 2007

Mitch

I love the new schedule it looks great.

Thanks a bunch Dave for being able to step in and help out for 2007. I think the club positions should be rotated around so no one person is held responsible year in and year out for getting the job done. That is part of the reason for me stepping down, I want to give another person the ability to learn the ropes and am pleased Dave stepped up to take the position. We are all very busy individuals so it is cool we can pass the jobs around. I'll be around and will still be able to help the club when I can. Thanks everyone for giving me the ability to be your Delta assistant TD for the last two seasons I've learned a bunch and enjoyed my time at the tournaments.

See ya at Whiskey,

cz

Thanks Chris (and Mitch!) for running things last year. I sure wish I could have made more of the tournaments! Congrats to Dave too; I am sure you will do great! The tournament schedule looks good too.

Question: To qualify for the TOC it is the most points for your best five events or do all the points just add up and it is the top five sticks? One of the tournaments I can't make....

Mike,

January and December are too damn cold!
May is always the month of the BNT Clear Lake Open, the big show of kickboat fishing.
October is always the month of the SCBBBBBBBBBC Classic at Clear Lake, formerly known as the Invitational.
November is when both clubs hold their TOCs.
Maybe the team tournaments will fall during those other months if they even happen at all...

By the way, did you get your kickboat set up yet?

Hope to see you out there next year,
Doug

thanks for the info Doug, dates make more sense

picking the fish cat up from Bobby tonight, so I'll be chomping at the bit to get the rigging project underway next week. found a 12v jetski bilge pump in the garage on Friday that I think will work great for the livewell. been looking at large plastic boxes at walmart and have some ideas on livewell setup, looking forward to getting the boat together
