BNT's Delta Region is holding their next event this Sunday 8/7/05, at Mildred Island/Middle River.
We will be launching on Middle river near the junction of Middle River and Empire cut near the southwest corner of Mildred Island. Take Bacon Island road from Hwy 4 and continue past the Bacon Island bridge(do not cross it)another 3/4 mi to the big wide spot in the road.

Check in - 5:15am at the launch ramp.
Weigh in - 12:00 noon.

Yup! Take a right on Hwy 4 from Tracy Blvd. Bacon Island road is the next left a couple of miles down the road.

Do you know what the tides are for this area on Sunday ?

At the Hwy 4 bridge on Middle River...
High 8:15 AM 3.2 feet
Low 3:33 PM 0.0feet

So a incoming to high tide will flow on Middle river near Empire towards highway 4 bridge? Just trying to figure out which way to go at launch. }(

I'll be there. After watching that dinkfest at the Classic this weekend I can't wait to see some real bass!

Bill, Go to Discovery bay and just continue east on Hwy 4 to Bacon Island Rd.

O.k how far past discovery?Will I be making a left or right off of 4 to get to bacon?Then how far down bacon?Keep in mind I`ll be trying to find this place in the dark and not fully coherent,lol.

Roughly 9 miles past Discovery bay. Left turn from Hwy 4. About 8 1/2 miles on Bacon Island road.

I may not be able to make this after all and will not know until Saturday evening. I have to take my daughter to a swim meet Sat that is scheduled to end at 7pm. They almost never finish on time and I will have to drive her from Morgan Hill back to Santa Cruz before I can load up my stuff and drive out to the delta. The ride we had arranged for her fell through; we are trying to arrange another ride for her but it does not look good at this point.

So leave me as signed up but do not be suprised if I don't show.
