In case any of you homies missed the signups for the BASS Open tournaments this fall - they still have some openings for non-boaters. You can sign up by calling (334) 272-9530 & asking for the tournament department. There is no prefishing cutoff for these deals, so you hard-core dudes can still fish the Invitational in October.

Im in now, originally I thought that there wouldn't be a chance of getting in, but Im in now. Hey Andy, do you have the pay back stat's for this tourney and is there a boat involved? Im kind of in need of a new boat to start my pro career. Thanks again Andy. If there is a boat up for grabs, I'll take you fishing in it after I win it.

Yo, Rich, there is a boat for the winner. I can't remember all the figures, but they're paying the top 50 am spots. They'll send you the info in the mail.

Glad to hear you'll be fishing it. You can ride with me when I take the "victory lap" after I win that bad boy. Just missed winning a boat last time by, I don't know, 20 lbs or something.

Not sure if they'll give us hats again. I know some guys who might sell you one for, oh, around $600.

For those interested there still looks like there are plenty of spots still available (less than 100 amatures so far in a field where they would like to have 175) for both the amatures along with Pro boaters. I think there are close to 70 Pro spots still available.

Hopefully I'll be able to get permission soon!
