what is your favorite swimbait size or lure for places like lake perris?
has anyone tried the new rago soft swimbait or the eagle swimbait/ i heard that they are pretty good.
what do you think?

If you have a generic swimbait that doesn't track straight, try just putting the hook in the bait in a different spot. Usually this slight change the weighting will cause it to swim a little different and you can tune it to swim ok. I've also noticed that for some reason the bait tracks straighter and straighter the more you fish it. I've only throw mine a few times but it has worked well for me with a 6-1 and a 7-10 at Rancho Seco on the 7.5" bait.

For Perris, I recommend the kitchen sink. That lake gets pounded by trout chuckers. Throwing something new and different would be a good bet. I'm sure those fish have seen about 10,000 ospreys by now.

I have had the most luck at Perris on Osprey's,7 and 9inch.But those are not my favorite.Lost quite a few on them as well.

My favorite all around swimbait/plug is the 9inch slammer, still no takers and Perris, yet!!

A little side note about Perris:the water is very high, all the way up into the trees,so shore fishing blows right now!
