Nothing feels better than seeing a trophy bass returned to the lake. Well maybe catching it in the first place :-)

The Okuma XH that I won off this site paired with a Calcutta 400te made quick work of this 9.7 lb largemouth.

Nice fish! What model BBZ did that fish bite? I have the slow sink and have yet to stick anything on it. Seeing your fish is encouraging though.

That was on the slow sink reeled in slowly. The bait was also smeared with some Pro-Cure rainbow trout super gel. That was my first hit on the BBZ as it was a christmas present.

All I can say is just throw it. I was fishing for 6 hours that day mostly with the BBZ and besides the 9.7 I had one other follow that I could see.

Hey Chris....

Yeah 2006 was a lousy year... ZERO BASS!!!! I went a whole year without catching a bass. Granted I only went fishing 4 times all last year. I am already at that total as of today... lol

I'll be getting another picture or two this year for your site... at least I'll be trying.
