#2995, "Rago Generic Rat"

I just got my Generic Rat and I was wondering if anyone out there has used one. I used it last night out on the Delta and caught a fish on it on my third cast, to bad it was only 11 inches long! The action is great the damn thing really does look like a rodent swimming in the water.

If any one out there has used one I have one question: do you tie directly to the eye or do you use the snap swivel provided in the box? I tied directly to the eye and was impressed with the action, but I wondering if the action would be improved by the snap swivel.

I haven't used one, but something Rob said when I asked the same question about the Slammer was, to use the snap swivel because if nothing else, it creates a squeeking noise.

You can do either. That bait does have an awesome action, much like the slammer. Besides the added squeak and better action, I feel the knot cinches better and is stronger on a thinner material such as the snap swivel rather than the thick eye screw. That's just from my experience, do whatever works best for you. I think this falls under the "scent category" which states, hey, can't hurt so why not...
