Someone mentioned recently that river mouths are especially good places to find surf perch. How many of you guys have found that to be true?
I've got a great spot in NorCal to try. I don't even know the name of the river but it's in the town of Mendocino and a long way from where I live.

hook up!

Run offs and rocky beaches were the key for me today. The run off areas usually have a few degrees more warmth and that can be the key for the sand crabs. I like to work my way towards the creeks and rocks, especially this time of year when they are spawning. The larger females like to= spawn near rock, areas inside kelp lines. GOOD LUCK
