Got to the lake about 7:15. Canoe was in the water by 7:30. Right off the bat we caught a couple trout on pearl mini jigs and the all of the sudden it was a full on black crappie bite. That bite lasted for 30 mins or so. We decided to fish the few docks near sailboat cove and got a few 1-2lb bass on bass jigs and spinnerbaits casted parallel to them. Moving on to the L shaped dock around the corner i caught a very nice 9 inch bluegill on a yellow/green mini jig and a bunch more crappie. Nothing for a while after that, but at around 10:30 we headed to the drop off in front of sailboat cove and caught 5 bass on watermelon rattletraps from 1-3lbs. All fish were caught on artificial lures and released. Andrew Giaconi Basserman Jigs

Great job on the panfish, i need to tube over there. About how deep were the crappie, ive never caught or seen them there but heard of them around the cove. Also if you are going to target trout there i always have my best luck on light colored inline spinners. If you target trout email me for the best spot of the lake.
