Well I was wrong. Were everyone else seems to be on 1-2pound fish, Roy Hawk is on some big fish. Both days he has a 5+ pound fish and today he must of had some nice weight. He only has 6 fish for the 2 days but he has 17+ total weight.

So far Hawk has pulled in $6500 just in big bass and big stringer.

Be interesting to see what he weighs in tomorrow

That guy is cool. I met him at the ICAST Show in Vegas last year(he is also in the retail tackle business). I hope he does pull it out. With two 5lb+ bass the first two days, in what is turning out to be one of the stingiest Opens' in a long time, he'd better find a way to win. Hate to see him not be able to back those fish up with at least a limit of rats.

Roy is a nice guy and I surely would like to see him win BUT consistency will win this tourney and I have to believe that the old salt, Mike folkestad, will come out on top. He better because he's my pick for the pool we're running down at Bass World West.
