Fished after school today to try out my new senkos and topwater baits. I threw the senko most of the time. I was surprised on how good it casted with my baitcaster. First bite was a small fish who must have only bit the end of the senko because when i set the hook i came up with only a hook. I casted to a fallen tree and caught a 2lber right when the senko hit the water. The tree was looking good for the dropshot so i dropshotted 4 1/2" aarons magic for 4 small fish. I went to the north east opening in the reeds on the dock to try out the topwater baits. I started with a 2 1/2" popper and caught the smallest bass on it. It was about 4". After that i threw a Spook in firetiger for about a 2lb bass and a couple bass missing the lure. First fish on a senko and first fish on topwater today so all in all a good day. I will probably be there sunday and will post the report.
