Sort slow, one 3 on watermelon/lemon laminate 5" Senko. Fun fight with a couple jumps and a run for the bushes. Kinda wierd on my end since it was my first fish on a spinning rod in at least 3 years. Didn't really like it, but it will do good for dropshotting.
I finished the night with a real odd catch. I feel this tick (soon after casting), thinking big big bass I set the hook. Instead of being met a solid thunk I hear a screech and feel the line shaking. I had a bat tangled. I'd pull it'd squeal. So, I turn on my flashlight and start to point it at the noise. What I see is bats following my line and pealing off at the last second. I must of had 20 bats do this. They'd only do it when I pulled and their trapped comrade called for help (my deduction based only on whimsy). I decided (rather quickly) to cut my line and retreat for my nice safe house. Hopefully the bat was able to do the same.
I was at Lake Fulmor 2 months ago with a buddy and we fished for about and hour after sunset. All of a sudden I see some little things flying through the air. It was BATS! At least 30 of them. I did the same thing as you, cut my line and headed for the car, while my buddy kept on fishing till he got one more fish!

Bats are very normal at Disovery, I see them every time I fish the sunset bite. However, I've never tangled one, and I've never had bats swooping at me. It's normal to see hundreds over the lake, lots of food there at dusk. In fact I figure my bug bites would double without them. So I've never left because of them. In fact had I not been working my way back I would have stayed. Though they did get the adrenaline going, and I wouldn't have stayed at that exact spot.
