Does anyone have a line to line knot that will work with Berkley Fire line and Fluorocarbon line? I have tried almost everything.

Im still a novice with flyfishing and all the knots associated with it, but the nail knot is the one I was shown to tie them together...

I don't have much experience with fluorocarbon lines but I use the double surgeon's knot when working with mono. It's just a double overhand knot. Quick and easy to tie and holds quite well.

Thanks for all the replies. I have tried all the knots you have suggested, all to no avail. I have a copy of Bop McNally's 'Fishermen's Knots, Fshing Rigs and how to use them, but the only one that even comes close to working is the uni to uni knot, but an overhand knot must be tied to the end of the fluorocarbon line to keep it from slipping through. Thanks again. Fred

Tie a bimini twist in the fire line, then tie the floro. on with a no-name knot.It will break before it slips.

Have you tried the "Alberto" or modified Albright knot?
I recently came across a most helpful and interesting article about this knot which is not only easy to tie, but excellent for joining different diameter leaders to mono and/or leader-to-braid line connections. Braid is becoming very popular with a lot of anglers, also trophy Bassers who use braid (spectra fibre, such as Tuff Line Plus or Berkley Whiplash) with a fluorocarbon (Seaguar) or mono leader.
Go to www.stripersonline.com/Pages/Articles/article_arby_albertos_knot.shtmlto find out more and to see how to tie this knot step-by-step.
Just for the record, my all-time favourite knot which I use for all other purposes in all my fishing, whether I am using braid, mono or fluorocarbon, is the Uni Knot. This versatile, easy to tie and strong knot can also be tied with a double line for strength that must be experienced to be believed.

Thanks Jacques. So far the Bimini and Uni combination is working, but I'll givethis a try too. Appreciate all the feedback.
