#2721, "Skunked twice."

Granted, I only put in 1.5 hours total. But, I got skunked yesterday at Discovery, then today at the SJ Ponds. Threw Senkos and swimbaits at Discovery for an hour. Water looked like it had already rained (but it hadn't), dark dark brown. Never had a bite, though a decent one jumped after a bait as it came out over some reeds. Then since I already had the stuff in the car, I hit the ponds after work today. Kinda odd fishing in a tie, but hey, it's still fishing. I had two ticks, but nothing else. I did have two nice followers, they came in cruising behind my Senko. Both were in the 4# class, but both swam off right away.

Starting to itch for a LM now. It's been a couple months since I tried, now 2 stripes. I think I like catching better...

i fished my local lake on sunday the full moon. it was raining and i
thought it would let up, needless to say the rain soaked through two
jackets, sweatshirt, pants, boots. after 2 and a half hours of this
managed a 2-14 on the unintentional dead stick picking through the backlash. it was on 1/4 football jig blk/blu w/ small pork. that was it for 3.5 hrs. maybe i'm a masochist but winter night fishing is the sh=t. getting skunked is just doing the homework.
