just bought the m.s. 7" slammer. has any one had any luck in socal.
lakes with it. since it doesn't seem to dive much what would be the
right conditions for throwing the slam. action is killer can't wait
to get hammered. good luck to all

I have the 7" model and it dives to about 2 feet. Your right about the action though, one of these days its gonna hook up big. I tie it right to the little snap it came with, is that right or do I take the snap off? Not much luck with it yet but I did get a 6 at margarita 12/31 on the osprey.

6lb'r at Margarita...sweet.....I tie to the snap it seems to help the bait swim with a lil more action...

You guys do realize that your lure isn't supposed to dive? You should be reeling in just fast enough to get it to swim on top of the water. This is not the most perfect time of year for this presentation that is why the swimbaits are out produceing the hardbaits but weather and a few other factors will keep the a.c. and the slammer productive 12 months a year!

Mike I dont have a picture of the striper but i do have a picture of a 10.6 lb Largemouth Bass caught on the 9 inch dark M.S. Slammer @ castaic lake you could contact me , you should have my phone # i called you last week to get the new 9 inch nitro express you put me on the waiting list .
