LAST EDITED ON Feb-18-00 AT 00:40 AM (PST)

I didn't get a chance to post a report from Tuesday but I was up there in the afternoon for a few hours. The weather was pretty grey and cold and I only managed 2 small fish, one on a rattle trap and one on the 7" MS Slammer.
Today I was back up there, same bat time as usual from about 2:30 to 6:00. I threw the small MS Slammer for an hour or so with no luck before heading into the marina cove. Flipping some very shallow brush I was able to pick up two nice fish about 3lb on a black and blue jig. Triple rattleback, my old favorite from when I used to tube the lake. The water is really muddy but the fish are biting anyway. There was a trout plant of 1800 pounds I believe around noon so as it got late I threw the trout some more in the marina cove with no luck. Finally at 10 to 6 I made one last move to a small point to see if I could catch a striper. I was throwing the 9" MS Slammer on my 9 foot sabre with 25lb. Pretty fun in freshwater for the funny looks you get. Well sometimes you get some funny bites too and sure enough as I'm slowly rolling it over the point SURFACE BOIL and I'm on. I thought striper for a second but it came in pretty quick. It was a big bass but I bounced it in, an easy 5 pounder. I didn't have my scale but one of the guys fishing for trout was kind enought to take a picture. What a day, what a month!! Stop sitting around the house and go fishing.
Photos
Jig fish number 1

Jig fish number 2

Surface boiling 5 pounder - gotta love it!!!
