Nailed 3 nice bass tubin the lower lake last night from 11pm-4am. One was about 2.5, the next 3, and the last one was maybe 4 pounds. All fish came in shallow (8-10) feet of water). Looks like pre-spawn is almost on the way according to reports all over southern california.<BR>Look out, this has been the best time of the year at Castaic for me for big bass. Next trip will be strictly 10" power worms and 15 pound test. Can I beat my personal best caught 3 years ago in early March? I hope so, anything over 15 is going on the wall!!!

Yeah bro I'd release it. I caught a fish there that weighed a tick over 15 on a hand scale and released it. I had no tape measure/ camera. Next time I will be prepared. I've only killed 2 basss my whole life and that was when I was 8 and 10 years old. Ive released over a dozen fish over 10 pounds. But I appreciate the concern....
