#17580, "Oct 6-9 Brannan Island & Suisun Bay Sturgeon!"

Finally! I made it down to my honey hole on Suisun Bay (above SF Bay in Calif.) for the first time since April. I tried twice since my last visit in April and it was just too windy. (Typical summertime on the delta.)

I stayed at Brannan Island State Park in the motorhome for two nights, and fished Suisun Tuesday and Wednesday. That's 100 miles of river cruising to and from Suisun in two days! Thursday was too windy to head to Suisun again, and we fished locally.

I caught a feisty 46" sturgeon the first day at Suisun. He took a couple of chunks of my nasty, old lamprey lamprey eel that had been if the freezer for six months. That stuff is incredible. He hit near the start of the incoming tide. I released him to fight another day; I have two tags left and want to
keep larger fish.

It was a grand trip. The whole story and photos at www.FishWisher.com
