I got out to Margarita last Friday, 4/17, and picked up three healthy fish drop shotting. A lot of people were sight fishing and evidently there are fish locked on their beds.

The lake was packed and I counted 20 boat trailers in the lot at the White Oak ramp that is the secondary ramp for the lake. The ranger at the gate said that their numbers are up 90% from last year! I'm not sure if this is just because of spring break or if this is going to be the trend all year long since Cachuma raised their rates so high. All the boat traffic may have been why the fishing shut off after mid morning.
