I do a lot of ground squirrel shooting with a buddy and we always refer to the numbskull game warden as Barny Fife. Here you guys seem to call each other barni's refering to something I aint quite latched onto yet. "Lucy, you got some splainin to do."

Hmmm,let's see. Let's say you saw a guy out squirrel hunting, he's packing a spring powered B-B gun, his scope is on upside down and backwards,his "I'd rather push a Ford than drive a Chevy" hat has his personal best squirrel tail hanging from it(which actually is a cat tail), his desert storm camo is working like a charm in the pine timber and of course the ziploc bag of home squeezed deer urine is leaking in his back pocket(yellow and blue make..orange?).Then right before he squeezes the trigger he yells out his lucky phrase "who's your daddy!"......only to completely miss again and blame it on the sun in his eyes. :D

I'm just kidding..I think everyone has been a barni at one point in someone's eyes.I know I have.

Ask fellow fisherman where the fish are biting
Belch loudly to announce you finished another beer
Cuss as often as you can, especially after farming a fish

Fall into the water or fall over in your lawn chair (preferably while sleeping)
Give tips to people who are outfishing you
Holler at passing women, good looking or not

Jump on a fishes head to make it reach the legal size limit
Keep a mental record of how well you are doing compared to your fishing partner
Loud laughing or talking between friends
Mention how many fish you caught yesterday

Openly piss into the lake/stream instead of a bush or bathroom
Put 5 or 6 heavy split shot in front of your lure to get it down there
Quit fishing when you run out of beer
Reel with your spinning reel upside down
Spill beer on oneself whenever possible
Talk about the last episode of "Fishing with Orlando Wilson"
Underwear should be partially, if not fully, visible
Venture over to the spot where someone just caught a fish and fish there.
When getting schooled explain that you don't mess around with smaller fish
Yell at the wife or kids (the wife to run to the store and get more beer, the kids to shut up)
Zero in on what color Powerbait is catching the big ones

hahaha, that's good stuff, VERY funny, I know see why we can all be a barni at times. I know I've fallen victim to a couple of those a time or two lol. I needed a good laugh before work, thanks.

Unfortunately, there are secrets to powerbait fishing ;-)

haha, love it. I was in the general store up at Huntington 2 weeks ago and bought a can over powerbait for my Dad and our friends that were fishing with us. Summer (my wife) and I were joking around about what color to get, but in kind of a serious tone of voice. This lady turns around and says, "oh there's a red white and blue one that they are biting really good". I'm like, "oh Captain America powerbait?" She's like, "oh yeah yeah that's the one!" I put on a big smile and said thankyou. We bought pink because it was cheaper :)

The secret of power bait fishing is light line and light hooks. 2lb test with tiny treble hook to keep the bait floating. Then there's the 'roll it up like a worm' trick and the 'powerbait nightcrawler combo'. Oh man, I hope I'm not letting the cat out of the bag!!!

Here's a couple more:
Leader length and dragging it like you would a C-Rigged plastic. Sometimes colors do matter. I do resort to trout fishing during the colder months. I get just as serious about it as I do my bass fishing. Just doesn't seem like it should be so complicated to catch fish that were raised in a hatchery.
