#13494, "AB 2280 Moves Out of the Suspense File"

At 1:00 PM on May 19th, a slightly amended AB 2280 came out of the suspense file. It is expected to be on the Assembly floor by Tuesday May 25th where it has an assured passing through the Assembly. It will then move to the State Senate.

There will still be a lot of hard work ahead to get the bill through the Senate. I am checking into whether or not we will have a different support letter that can be sent to your own State Senator to express support for the bill.

When the new language for the amended bill is complete, I will post it. There is a slight change to the appropriation of the funds but it still remains at 33 1/3%.

The support letters to Assemblyman Dave Cogdill and other legislators really helped to get the bill released from suspense and again Assemblyman Dave Cogdill would like to offer his gratitude to all who have sent in letters of support.

You can still send in a letter of support if you have not done so yet.
