Haven't taken the boat out for about 7 months, so decided to take it to Castaic. Got on the water at about 6:45 am. Went straight to the bouy line like everyone else. Tie up and waited and waited and waited.... until 9:00 got the one and only stripper for us (4 lbs). Saw a couple of people getting a few who were fished a little closer to shore. From what I heard this morning was real slow. We fished about 75 ft to the right of the big orange bouy on the right side in 90' of H2O. Got the fish on a flylined anchovy (cut bait). Off the H2O about 10. Don't forget the suntan lotion, it was burning out there.

I saw a total of about 9-10 strippers including mine. Only the boats closer towards the shore got bit. All the boat that were out further into the lake than mine didn't get any. Did meter fish under but I guess they just had lockjaw this morning. Meter most of the fish from 60-70 ft. Did try the split shot too. Saw the other people caught theirs flylining so I switched. That's how I got mine. Good luck fellas.
