fished the east side by the "tire reef" and the dam... no bass though i was someone haul out about 15... off castaic soft trouts... was fishing rat-l-traps cause the visibility was super low... i mean like 1 1/2 feet... caught 2 trout (1 off of a rat-l-trap and the other off a shad rap)

I was out there today too. What boat were you in?

I landed a 20" LMB at the dam on a 5" swimbait, but that is about it.

What did you get your trout on? We trolled for a while, but had no luck.

lots of trout coming out of there but the bass and water level need some help great day to be on the water though. The old man in the store boned me out of $5.00 bucks in the morn.x(

Yeah, that lake does need some "help". A couple years ago you couldn't go wrong with the trout..they were hitting all year long! I wonder what happened...

i snagged the trout off a rat-l-trap (chrome with blue back)... it was weird... we were going really fast and then bam, the line starts moving out... thought it had hit the rocks on the bottom or jammed in the motor till we saw the trout...

someone using castaic soft trouts was able to land about 15 or thats what he said... i was pissed because it looked like the bass were all in his livewell

as for the lake... with water levels like 40 feet below, you could see what they called a tire reef... 3 tires stuck together...and there were alot of nice little rocky spots and cover that would have been underwater...
