#11151, "Castaic friday 10/3"

Big weather change from last week. Air temp with this front that came through was 30 degrees cooler at noon. water temp had only 1-2 degrees change.
Foggy clouds switched to hig clouds.
3 of us in my buddys' boat had us fishing the coves & shore of the ski arm.
Still LOTS of small fish and shad in the coves.
Quite a few larger LMB feeding halfway in, but way too much natural forage for them to bother with our "stuff"
Had a HUGE strike on a shad colored crank - first time that I have seen defined teeth marks on both sides of a plastic plug in SoCal. light line and loose drag resulted in the hooks not getting set before the fish let go. but it was definitely "da kine"
Caught a 20" on a 3" rapala - dinner for last night. :9

The trout that got dropped at about noon were smaller than what was dropped a couple of weeks back. they look to be more easily eaten.
