#10034, "Lower castaic - sunday"

Thanks to Joeman for his timely friday report!

Snuck out this AM for a little "lake-therapy". Lottsa guys floating over the beds por nada too much. I hit the shelf by the bridge first thing for a few "followers". Had to make a pit-stop x( but cruised by that red bouy on my way back out. 'bout 8am splish-splash as I came close. Second cast got me a NICE 7+ post-spawn sweetheart. (I don't carry a scale but she was easily 7lbs)

Cruised around some more looking and casting but no more surface action. Went back over to the bridge and the followers looked hungry for a follow-up finesse worm. 2lber this time.

off the lake by 11am. Nice morning. sun broke through about 10:30. THese fish should be hungry after the full moon next weekend.

My "go to" rig came through once again: 4#ande, 3"rapala, Quantum SS1, and the famous Zebco 2-8lb ultra-lite 2-piece rod.

congrats, wils!! that is great!

my buddy was up there sunday and landed a nice 6-7# as well, right from the same spot. i think he may have saw you catch that fish. he was fishing on his kayak with his fiance. he said he saw someone land a nice one at the same spot using a rapala. i'm guessing that was you.

anyway, thats awesome, i'm glad my report was of some use!!

tight lines!

good luck on your next trip! don't hestitate to send me an email to check conditions. like i said, we usually go once a week, so i might be able to give you the latest conditions, etc.
