I heard Perris dropped quite a bit recently? How much and did it kill any bite?

The water has dropped 6 - 8 feet and the bite sucks right now.

I just read a report about someone doing pretty good on live crawdads.Scoring 5 to 6 fish and a few more on plastics, did'nt say the depth but a few fish were around 5lbs.

Might try today after work?

Yeah, the water is down quite a bit out there. Fished it yesterday on the 18th from six a.m. till about noon. Only got two bites... stuck a three pounder and a one lber on a texas-rigged purple blue neon roboworm. Both fish came in the east end. The three was back in tight to the shoreline sticks and the one was a cast out toward open water. Saw a few nice fish in there too. Talked to an ol' timer out on the water who said he caught 22 fish in six hours about two weeks ago. Don't know if I believe him, though. Water temp was about 57 degrees, so things are starting to warm up...

Swings are free,
Tim

I blanked this morning in the boat ramp cove. Fished from 730 to 1030. I even tossed two crawlers left over from trouting and those almost always get bass bit but not today. There was a guy fishing 'dads there for nada. Saw no one else get bit.

They dropped the water level before the storm we had in the middle of last week. Watch out for the ranger in the patrol boat with the jarhead hair do. He has little mans complex and likes to show off to the blond in training. He is defintely an inbred.

A friend of mine was actually harrased about tinted windows there.... by a ranger, man go find some poachers or something!

Anyway back to fishing, stopped by tonight after work and met up with an incoming storm.Fished around the marina throwing the big stuff but the wind was just ridiculous, not the chop that i was hoping for.Could'nt tell if the water had been dropping, the waves were pounding the shoreline.

I have been doing well at Perris lately. I went out on Saturday, and I think we got just under 10 fish (still a little slow for Perris standards). They were all keepers with a few fat females. I have blanked at Perris only a few time since I got my boat. All the fish are staging real deep right now with the rare shallow fish in the East End. All our fish came on the Drop-Shot.

Matt

If you don't release it you can't catch it.
