What area in Castaic Lake is productive for Stripe Bass? I will be on a kayak. Do you think 12lb. test is strong enough? I will be throwing castaic baits and using anchovies.

Yeah, you can kayak the big lake but there are a lot of regulaitons involved with this lake. You should call before you go and be aware the wind get really bad there in no time. Be careful. The lower lake aka lagoon is only open to non power boats and is much more forgiving. It doesn't have stripers (maybe a couple), but it does have some very large bass. This may be a better option for fishing the kayak.
