#4706, "Ever wonder about water around Tom Sawyer Island?"

I have. I was at Disneyland earlier this year and I couldn't help but wonder if there were any bass in the water that surrounds Tom Sawyer Island and whether or not anyone has ever fished there. The water was colord blue, but I saw what I thought might be bass fry in along the shore, none the worse for the coloring... It could have just been blue-stoned.

After reading CJ's post from Rattlesnake Resevoir - it got me to thinking... what other lakes are out there that are private? I had never heard of Rattlesnake Reservoir or Syphon Lake either.

I looked into Peters Canyon Lake and learned that they actually had a trial period where they allowed float tubes on the lake (around 1996 or 97). It only lasted four days because the ranger there thought the impact on the water fowl was too dramatic and they stopped the experiment dead in its tracks. It's probably just as well because had it been successful, Oso Lake people would have run the thing.

What other private/not-so-private lakes are out there?

No bass there, those were mosquito fish to keep the mosquito's away.

I dont know what they have in there, but once I was looking in the water closely looking for fish and saw a HUGE dead fish floating on the surface. I mean this fish was a monster. I have no idea what type of fish is was because it was rotting from decay (it was all white at that point). If I had to take an educated guess on what type of fish it was, I would bet it was a carp.
