so what are the long range forcasts for the next month and a half. Does it look like it will be a late, wet, cold winter or a dry, warm early spring ?

"Malakas"?? Seems to me I have heard that name before...I think I was in Greece when I heard it too. My bet is the weather will be like a rollercoaster for the next month or so, going from warm to cold, cold to warm...then its into our spring/summer pattern, Cold mornings, warm days....That is in this area San Luis Obispo county. Welcome to the board Sandy...

I'm gonna say a late winter but a short one. I don't think it'll be anything like last year.
