Here's what one of my buddys encountered the other day...

Fished lagoon. Bite was very slow. I missed the morning bite by ariving at 8, but don't think it would have made a difference. Encountered lots of weeds. Fished shallow, fished deep, fished slow, fished fast, split shotted, drop shotted, through cranks, through spinners, all with little luck. Caught two small fish split shotting Fat Sack lightning shad on the dam. Graphed stacks of schooling fish at 35 feet but couldn't get them to bite. Other boaters I talked to had the same report. Spotted lots of bait fish and fingerling bass.
