i still am unsure of the 400 being too big or not, but here are the things im getting:

catala 400 on a bionic blade 6'6" MH,

extreme 6.1:1 ratio with 6'6" MH extreme rod,

and 2 shimano sedona 2000's with bionic blade 6'6" M.

opinions on THESE setups?

I think the Catala 400 would be a litle big for the rod you're putting it on. I personally would get the 300 and then you could use it for bigger stuff like trout plugs if you ever decided to put it on a bigger rod. As for the Bionic blades, I think they're actually pretty decent rods for the price. I bought one awhile back for like forty bucks. I've been using it for a temporary jig rod until my Castaway comes in.
