hey guy howd u do sunday. Im intested cuz you guys went right next to me and didnt do nearly as well an i did. I only saw u catch 1 small 1 on a crank. and did u see the 6+ pound fish when u were there? It was picking off smaller bass. And some advise, when ur in a boat ask the people on shore if you want to take over a spot. Watch out ur record is in jeopardy i found a fish that looks about a pound bigger.
Good luck ,tight lines

We caught many bass sunday up to 4.7 lbs. The 4.7 was caught on a spinnerbait as you can see in the picture(this fish tore up the bait, notice the one blade) Most bass were 1 to 2lbs. I am not the person with the record but the other guy in the boat that took the picture of the 4.7 is.

I did not see the 6lber eating other bass? Where was this fish at? I was talking to the old record holder about 2 weeks ago and he said he saw bass up to about 13lbs. By the way what were you using and what did you catch?

I m sure u know who i am now. when u guys rowed up in the boat i was in the tree, the 6 #r was in about 4 feet of water right in front of me and made a few swipes through a school of smaller fish. I was fishing for the 1 -2 # class fish, 4lb stren with a berkeley bass minnow, no weight twitching it below the surface. I figured out this pattern a few weeks ago. I lost a fish during spring break that was about 8, but thats what i get for light line. That day i ended up with about 30 minnow fish and i also caught a few on an 1-8 oz black and bue jig with a red shad craw trailer, Biggest fish was a 2.6 near the spillway in the back. The big fish i have seen( about 9.75 to 10 #)is a little bit past the first dam as you walk around the back. I got it to follow a 4 inch castiac rainbow swimbait, but it wouldn't take it. Its cool if u guys want a spot, ill give ur friend some credit for the big fish. Just let me know if u want some room. The fish got reel spooky when u guys showed up in the boat. Im going back thursday afternoon on the back side, or fishing for carp in the spillway pond and stream.
good luck tight lines

no i didnt, but i went today before school, and hooked up on a 6.3 on my swimbait in nearly the same spot, fought well. I was fishing about 20 feet away from the fallen tree right after you cross the first dam. I also caught a 4lb trout on my berkeley minnow. I was only there for an hour, but im going back after school is out. I'll post a report for ya. Probably gonna target carp, the water has really low visibility today, about 18" maximum. Most of the bass moved deep except all the little un's.

You guys are kickin' bass out at Prado. Thanks for sharing your reports. I really enjoy reading them. Nice to see a new generation of bass masters doing their thing.

At least the people at Prado release the Bass, the guys fishing in Yucaipa keep them! A lady caught a 7 pounder on some power bait and kept the fish, then a week later a guy snagged one with like a size 3/0 treble hook and kept it as well, another 7 pounder.
