Andrew here's some info on GVL http://www.socalfishing.net/greenvalleylake.htm

It usually costs $9 to fish, but right now it is free. They haven't stocked in 8-9 weeks, but there is still a lot of fish left.

Actually the concessionaire is closed. So that means, no boat rentals, no porta potties, and no fish stockings. The good thing about this though, is the lake is free to fish right now, and it's full of trout still.

Towards the end of the season, the man who was running the lake was making quite a few enemies. By the end of the season, on a weekend you could go up and be one of a handfull of anglers on the lake!!!
