Mike, Kenny, Aaron and I got to the lake around 7 PM and fished the sunken gate until 9:45. I fished a watermelon/red flake brush hog for a while and got one bite. I tried senkos, curly tail worms, several straight tails in a few colors, even some topwater with no sucess. Finally I switched to the 5/8 black/red jig and got one bass about #1 on that. Kenny got two on a purple/blue neon worm, Mike got one on a senko and Aaron got one on a dazzle shad colored worm. I talked to some guys fishing the marina and they said there were trout all over the place but they wouldn't bite. Throughout the night, bass could be seen chasing all kinds of stuff, mostly shad, we just couldn't find the pattern. Tommy

TC it sounds like you guys threw everything you had at them. I experienced the same situation earlier in the week at Legg with the bass chasing shad and trout in the evenings. They bit on Monday and after trying a variety of baits and presentations with out even a lick on tuesday, I came to the conclusion that the bass have fallen in to their monthly full moon pattern (lockjaw). I predict it will go off anywhere from 2 to 5 days after the full moon. With any luck we'll be there when it breaks loose. Are you going to go fish Malibu this weekend? I might make it out tomorrow late morning.
