Everyone,

You can't afford to stand by anymore. The decision that sets the rules for the rest of California will now take place at 11am on October 16. Take the day off, call in sick, do what ever it takes to be at the meeting of the MWD. If you want to keep fishing you need to show up with me on the 16th.

Meet me at 9am on the 16th of October at the Del Mar Fair Grounds (same parking lot as the Fred Hall Show).

Pass this word to everyone. Call a friend and car pool with them. We need at least 200 people to show up.

I'm not aware of any meeting on the 16, but the most important meeting right now is on Oct. 4 at Hubb's Research Institute at 9am in San Diego. That'll be the last chance we'll have for comment on the channel islands closures. This meeting in Del Mar would be addressing the inshore MLPA closures. FGC doesn't need to make a decision on that until December 2003. We'll have many more opportunities to be heard.
