I'm getting into fluke/flounder fishing (prvate boat) and need to purchase a rod (or rods).

1. Any suggestions? Looking for an excellent rod.
2. Can one rod be used for both types of fish?
3. I was thinking of getting and using 2 rods: one to cast out with bait and let it sit in a rod holder and the other I would be working with tapping the ocean. What do you think?

Thanks!

Karl

Since Fluke is the East coast common name for Summer Flounder, I'm kind of wondering if you are confused and might actually want to get info based on A) California Halibut, B) Pacific Halibut, C) Starry Flounder, D) Sand Dabs. All of these are from the West coast.
Or do you really want info for East coast fish?

Tight lines,
Wade
