Trout was planted at Casitas on the 20th of this month at the main ramp. Inspectors have been letting boats in when it has been raining. Keep the bilge and livewells clean and dry and you should be fine. Also the 28 day ban may be reduced to 5. Dont forget the march 4th meeting at Nordoff high at 5:30.
Peace
Rich

Please keep us updated on the ban being reduced to 5 days. I was turned away on the 15th! It's scary when a 5.0 horse shop vac, a ridiculous amount of towels and 2 hours of prep time isn't enough to get into casitas for the 2nd day of a 3 day weekend.

I was told buy the guy at the gate that they may be reduced to 5, that is all I know. I have never been turned away, I do not know what is going on or why you did not get in. I think there is variance from inspector to inspector.
Peace

It was my 6th inspection of the year. I knew what to expect and came prepared. This time Ranger Wall inspected my boat knowing full well I was on the lake the previous day. He "found" a slight waterline on my aluminum valco which he said he was able to scratch off minute pieces of "debris", which he even said was probably from the lake. I didn't say a word while he was trying to explain himself. I just closed my compartments and drove to puddingstone.

I am sorry to hear about that, I have gotten in with a waterline around my boat and dirty carpet plenty of times. My boat is a 1978 Ranger 185 and fishing 3-4 days a week gets it pretty dirty. It is just a fishing platform to me and certainly not a status symbol. I only fish week days due to my sheduled work days at the department. I usually go a little later in the day and am usually not one of the first on the water. I also get the same guy all the time he is a little older than some, has a lot of common sense and knows I am a local and that is the only lake I fish.
Peace
Rich

Yea, I know who you are talking about. That seems to be the only guy that has any common sense left in him. Crap happens I guess. I'll just have to wait it out.
