So how many over ten does that make for this year so far? I am also curious, what is your ratio of being on the water and catching an over 10? Wish we had some lakes in this area (Central Coast) with over 10's, oh sure there is a few in Margarita and Lopez...but not many. The closest water like that I have is Casitas or going the other way, Coyote. In my limited experience, Casitas is just too crazy with all the people.

2005 I was getting one over 10 about every 3.5 trips.

Last year I averaged one every 12-13 trips. Bad year. I lost focus on big ones, spending a lot of time in tournament mentality land. I'm really just not that good at tournament fishing, it's much harder for me than big fish fishing mentally and results wise.

This year has been great. Maybe 1 in 5? I've caught a few ;) I tabulate all my trips in a spreadsheet at the end of the year. Things come and go. You ride the highs and you slog your way through the lows.
