#33, "slowing down a trolling motor"

My Minn Kota model 35 runs too fast at the lowest speed for my little aluminum boat. Does anyone know a good way to modify it to run slower on the low speeds? I don't care if the higher speeds also slow down or not.
Thanks,
Pete

Bring along a 6v. motorcycle battery in addition to your 12v main battery. It won't last as long, but is will defenitly slow you down (probably to less than half speed). Connect the 6v when you want to crawl along those favorite spots on the water. Do not use them together! And defenitelly don't hook you electronics to it. Just use each by themselves as needed.
Terry G.
