yeah iconneli is pretty interesting......hes also a jerk (or used to be)

I talked to a kids father that brought his kid to see a BASS tournament, and saw mike iconelli without a crowd of fans around him, they approached Mike and the 6 year old asked for his hat to be autographed, Iconnelli denied the autograph right to the kids face and said he had a seminar to do...then walked away.

Thats not good for our sport....but man can he fish!!!!

Aaron Martens needs to be considered. Fishing is tough in Pittsburg right now and that’s when the guy excels. He has two second place finishes out of the last three classics. Also squeaked out an angler of the year title.

Martens!! It's going to be a tough finesse bite and should play right into his hands- KVD can never be counted out, I'd like to see Aaron take it, who knows how it will all play out. Even with the higher dollars on the FLW I get stoked to see the Classic much more...

I don't hate Ike, but he is a bit over the top, especially for a world class nerd. Lose the frickin' flames and stupid sponser forced makeover, you're still a fricking nerd. And never compare yourself to Michael Jordan, cause Jordan you will never be. But damn that guy can fish. I'd like to see Andre Moore take it as well.

Aaron Martens for sure this year, that is his "style" of fishing. I expect him to take it this year. 48 bridges in a 15 mile stretch, got 2nd last year fishing the bridge pilings...

I'm going with Aaron Martens too. He should have one that last Classic but T.O. got lucky in the last 10 minutes. Aaron is long overdue...

Oh, and Ike is a freaking dork! Yelling after catching a bass like it's some kind of eXtreme sport.

i broke down i hysterical laughing ....i believe he said "mciceal jordan dont have nothin on me.........."

lol i love the way ike always likes to talk about his patterns....then he jumps up and down and talks for hours about how his pattern worked

i also like the way he gels his hair.... i also bet his sponsors told him what to write to add to his "bad boy" appearance

but hes way better at fishing than me,, so i shouldnt talk

i'm thinking its gonna be the federation winner george chochran...goin for the underdog!!!!

Ike is told by BASS to do what he does because it adds attention to he sport. I was told this by another pro that I talk to from time to time. He said that he thinks that it is bad for BASS, but they don't see it that way.

I met Ike last year at the Classic and he is nothing like what he portrays on TV, just another guy that seems really melow.

Another thing to remember is that this is...Three rivers. I have never fished it, but from what I have heard so far, it is REALLY slow. My first choice would have to be Kevin V. in this situation. But, I would have to be rooting for Aaron Marten. AOY and Classic! Awsome!

I don't see why everybody makes such a big deal about Ike. (I'm not talking about you guys) Alot of people give him hell about it. I really don't see the problem. He shows emotion. Good for him. I think Ike is great, and I think it's awesome that he shows his emotion, more power to him. But I also don't care if other fisherman don't freak out, thats cool for them too. Who cares.

Aaron martens is definitely a favorite with the tough fishing. He usually finds ways to catch fish. KVD, Martens and Ike are good choices. I heard Kevin Wirth was on fish too. Those would be my picks.

KVD
Aaron Martens
Ike
Kevin Wirth

yeah, I heard Ike speak at Anglers Marine after he won the Classic, he was pretty cool with lots of good info, not acting like a kook or anything- BUT... I still say he's a kook! Go Aaron! }(

Yeah 3 out of 4 in second....That says alot. Being CONSISTENT! That guy is really good and it shows. As he said in that interview, "I have many Tournies to fish yet" .I am sure he will be holding that Trophy up soon enough....Now he is off to Mead for the WON BASS Open.

Awsome Classic....Great competition, great job by ESPN....
