I know of a bunch of places in the San Jose, Ca area but it looks like your in Riverside. If you're looking for mail order try Bass Pro Shops as they have/carry the entire Gammie product line including the hard to find sizes.

2/0 and 3/0 EWG hooks are pretty common at just about every fishing store up here in the San Jose area. I would assume that a local shop would carry them as well. Also try Bass World West as they are probably close to you. I believe they do mail order as well.

Hope this helps.

Hey there,

Do you have more than one Sportsmart in your area? Down here in LA there are some Sportsmarts that are really into fishing stuff. Seems like every location is different. Lots of light wire stuff to!

I know of a couple sportsmart's in the area but they don't really have too much good stuff, just the basics. The bigger hooks are just something that all the sporting good style stores just don't stock.Well the really good hooks anyway.Theres a new sport chalet in my area but they don't carry any good size hooks either.

I don't mind ordering them and waiting awhile to get better quality...

Thanks for the help......

PHISHnutS,

If you are ever in Upland, try Kenny's Rod & Reel. Kenny Isago should be able to take care of you. Or, if in Chino, try Gary Kimura at Kimura's Bait & Tackle. Just trying to help out the small independent tackle shops. Not the 'marts.

What the heck is up with these damn hooks?Nobody seems to know what im talking about, all they have is the super 4x gorilla hooks.Gary at kimuras said they dont have them in the catalog so as far as he knows they dont exsist.Guess ill keep on fileing my stock hooks for now.Owner makes 2 and 3 o black nickle stingers with the needle point, but they are not in the catalog either, and on the eagle swim bait it comes with one 2 and one 3o,so what the dealio.Oh well its all good, the search continues. This is the second post regarding these rare round bend gammies in the 2-3o size.I guess there is always vmc hooks, they are good but not gammie good!!!Peace out im goin fishin.

Bass World West has them and also Anglers Marine has them. I have bought many packs of Gamakatsu 2/0 trebles from Bass World.

Hey dude, there is no 3/0 Gammie Round Bend or EWG trebles! They only make 2/0. It's a bummer for a 12" bait because 2/0 gammie is too small on a 12" lure. If you need them and you can't find them, just call CJ at Bassworld. I've had to go to him to get them too. No one up here has them. Tri-Cities had them for a while, but they sold out. I probably bought them all :) I go through the 2/0 round bend like crazy.

I asked some Gamakatsku dude off the website if they would ever make a 3/0 but they weren't that into it. Oh, plus they would be top secret illegal contraband in California due to our retarded DFG hook regs. crummy huh.

I have the 4X strong hooks but they are LAME because they are too thick and the gap on the hook isn't very wide at all. They fish like a 1/0 but with a longer shank.

On my big lure I'm still using VMC's. Not the coated black ones, but the standard bronze ones. 4/0 size and just sharpen them. I tried some 5/0 eagle claws, but they curve back in at the point and I don't like them much. I have them on my 16" Generic Trout but that's it.

Walton's Pond started carrying them (1/0 and 2/0) after I bugged him a few times.. I bought what was the last 1/0 off the shelf but he had a pack of 2/0 still up there about a week ago...I have his number somewhere but I'm supposed to be doing Chemistry and not posting this... :)
